#22 HEROES

You don’t have to play softball to get involved!

Dress your fans and friends in your team colors. Everything they do/eat/drink at the tournament gets your team closer to the title of the 2024 #22 Heroes!

As the #22 Heroes your team will be our biggest contributors and take home the #22 Heroes flag! Your team’s colors/logo will fly on posters at the 2nd Annual Duncan Memorial Tournament in 2025. The title is yours... until another team takes it. The war is on for the ultimate EPIC BRAGGING RIGHTS!!

Why We’re Here

The Duncan Memorial Tournament and Fundraiser is aimed at remembering our friend Dave who passed unexpectedly on February 23, 2024. Through sport, team, laughter and community, this ‘Everyone Welcome’ annual fundraiser will rekindle old friendships, reconnect neighbours and open doors to support with mental health in a small town.

Dave Duncan, Bruin’s Captain #22, shared his light with everyone he met; a true leader who gave everything to make someone else’s day. Like many of our lost friends, Dave struggled with mental health but felt he was a burden to others if he talked about it. Dave sadly lost his battle in silence, far too young, leaving behind a loving wife and four kids.

This tragedy has happened too often, especially in recent years. It’s time to bring back the culture of caring that comes with being from a small town. A culture that Dave never stopped fostering. Bring back waves hello, a visit on the porch with neighbors and everything that would remind you that if you’re from here, you’re not alone.

Of course, we’re also here to do some FUNdraising! Our goals are targeted at contributing to the Duncan childrens’ trust fund + Dave and Jen’s kids (8-19 years old) will donate to a local charity of their choice + a donation will be made to Uxbridge’s Bonner Boys Association in Dave’s name.
